Hey,
Happy new year! : )
Happy new year! : )
I just released VisualBrowser 3
This is my first ever standalone app that integrates with Ableton Live and lets you browse plugins, devices, and presets visually instead of scrolling through Live’s browser.
Main Features:
- Automatically scans your Live library (built-in effects, instruments, Max for Live devices, third-party plugins)
- Puts everything into organized categories as cards
- Rearrange anything by dragging and dropping cards and categories (or create new ones, rename them, recolor them)
- Browse presets using Live’s tag system
- Load devices or presets into multiple selected tracks at once
- Assign keyboard or MIDI shortcuts to any card — and use these shortcuts even when the app is minimized
- Navigate/load with MIDI controllers
- Use it in a minimal overlay mode
- Fully customizable UI (card size, category size, UI scale, color themes)
- Native touchscreen support
It’s not a Max for Live device, but a completely standalone application.
I’ve spent the last 8 months working on this, and it’s easily the biggest project I’ve ever done.
Here's a short showcase video:
And if you want to dig deeper here's a full video-tutorial series, where I show everything you can do in the application:
I’m really excited about it, so please let me know what you think 🙂
Other news:

I just updated all my utility devices.
They received an UI overhaul, so now they all have a unified modernized interface.
I also updated the documentation for them, and the way they check for updates.
