It's a small FREE Maxforlive utility device that automatically synchronizes your clips color to their tracks color throughout your whole Live Set. 

You can use it in manual, or automatic mode.
(In manual mode you can trigger it manually, Automatic mode will re-color the clips every time you change a tracks color.) 

You can decide if you want to re-color all clips to their tracks color on All tracks, or only on the selected.
And where should it re-color them: In Arrangement, in Session view, or both.

The recolor button is key or midi mappable, and every parameter is accessible from Push.

Where has this been all my life?

A really good, easy and super-affordable fix for what should arguably haven been a default feature in Ableton. Does what it says on the tin and doesn't cause any problems. Gonna be using this *a lot*.

Oh my Lord, why doesn't Ableton have this native?

It’s such a small thing, but it annoyed me endlessly. This device fixes it. I mapped the recolor to a keyboard key. Tiny change, but it really makes the workflow smoother. Thanks for that!

This tiny little device is awesome. It's already part of my daily workflow. Being able to quickly change the color of multiple tracks and their associated clips all at once is awesome, saves time, and sanity.

  • Place the device / devices in your Ableton Live User Library.
  • Default User Library locations:
    • Windows: \USERS\[USERNAME]\DOCUMENTS\ABLETON\USER LIBRARY
    • Mac: MACINTOSH HD/USERS/[USERNAME]/MUSIC/ABLETON/USER LIBRARY
  • Live needs to analyze your User Library after adding devices. This process may take some time. In the meantime, you can drag and drop the devices from your User Library onto your tracks.
  • After Live found them you'll be able to access them from Live's Browser.

  • New: If there's an update available, you'll see a small message (Update available: *version* ) on top of the ElisabethHomeland logo. If you click on it'll open my website where you can download the latest release.
