Notes & Pictures is a small MaxForLive device that you can use to document your recording process In Ableton Live.

You can write notes about what Microphone you used, with what instrument,
And you can add pictures to capture your Mic position, or different hardware settings.

Everything is fully customizable:
Change the font, the text size, the background color, or the text color.

You can open the notes/Pictures in a resizable floating window with a keyboard shortcut.
And you can even automate it to make it only show up in a certain section of your song.

Notes & Pictures is included in the GroundControl pack, but you can now buy it seprately.

Excellent!

Excellent device for taking notes! I wish it had the option to choose between adding just one photo or two, three, etc. That way, if I select only one, it could be larger. Maybe in a future update. Nevertheless, the device is the best! I’m a fan of all your devices

A great notepad.

I have been using other notepads for Ableton, but this one beats them by allowing images and nice formatting of the test. I learned from the creator of this that it can be place on all tracks. It helps a lot to make notes about my composition, and how each track relates to it.

the notes can appear in arrangement view as reminders of sections of the composition. Not sure if that is clear, but if you imagine a note (reminder) appearing as you play, it can help a lot in your creation.

Definitely good value for money.

Fantastic M4L notepad

I really like this device. I use the picture window to save schematics of the track routing. This helps me save time when I'm opening complicated templates!! Thanks a bunch!!

Notes & Pictures is a great tool for collaboration

Recently purchased Notes & Pictures and it's great for making notes as you work through a project. However, it's been amazing for sharing Ableton projects that I am working on with my partner, as we can leave feedback and thoughts for each other, even though we're not in the same room.

One improvement - when opening a session, if saved with the note visible and open, when re-opening that session it does not display. You have to toggle the note off and back on to make it display again.

exactly was I was looking for

I always was in need of a note taker. Cause there are always things I wanted to do on single tracks. The only solution was to write that down somewhere. But then it is disconnected.

That little tiny thing adds a note to a track and the note is INSIDE my project. Perfect.

Check it out

Place the devices in your Ableton Live User Library.
Default User Library locations:
- Windows: \USERS\[USERNAME]\DOCUMENTS\ABLETON\USER LIBRARY
- Mac: MACINTOSH HD/USERS/[USERNAME]/MUSIC/ABLETON/USER LIBRARY
Live needs to analyze your User Library after adding devices. This process may take some time. In the meantime, you can drag and drop the devices from your User Library onto your tracks.
After Live found them you'll be able to access them from Live's Browser.
